RENO, Nev., March 12 -- GameTech International, Inc. , a leading supplier of electronic bingo equipment, today announced that Don Whitaker has been appointed to its Board of Directors. Whitaker is the Founder and CEO of Ceronix Inc., a leading supplier of custom color video monitors.
The announcement was made by GameTech Chairman Richard Fedor, who stated, "We
are pleased to welcome Don Whitaker to our Board of Directors. He brings over 20
years of experience in the gaming equipment industry and will be a welcome
addition to our Board and GameTech. Whitaker has extensive gaming operations and
engineering experience and is highly respected in the industry."
Whitaker previously was Vice President of
Operations with the Kevex Corp., a manufacturer of x-ray analysis equipment.
The Board of Directors announced that its first regular quarterly dividend of
$0.03 per share for the quarter ending January 31, 2004 will be payable on March
31, 2004 to stockholders of record as of March 22, 2004.
The Board also announced the resignation from the Board of Charles W. Scharer,
who had served for the past two years.
