GameTech Names Cornelius Klerk as Chief Financial Officer

RENO, Nev., Aug. 3 -- GameTech International, Inc., a leading supplier of electronic bingo equipment, announced today that Cornelius ("Cory") T. Klerk has been named Chief Financial Officer for the company, effective August 3, 2004. Klerk is a seasoned veteran of the gaming entertainment industry with experience in both the supplier and operator sectors. Most recently, Klerk served as Vice President of Finance for Aristocrat Technologies, Inc., the Americas Division of Aristocrat Leisure Limited. He has over 27 years of senior level finance, administration and operations experience with gaming industry leaders, including Harrah's Entertainment and Hilton Gaming.

Klerk replaces John Hewitt, GameTech's chief financial officer since 2002, who retired June 26, 2004.
