Jane Thompson was one of the first employees in the Bingo Division at the Comptroller of Public Accounts, the agency that first regulated bingo in Texas, where she helped formulate regulations in anticipation of the introduction of bingo operations in 1982. Jane left the state agency in 1986 to join Garland Statewide Bingo Supply, which she and her husband bought in 1991, changing the name to reflect the new ownership.

Thompson Allstate installed its first GameTech electronics – 25 TED® units – at Contessa Bingo in Longview, Texas in May of 1998. Now, Thompson Allstate has in excess of 4,300 units in operation in 43 locations across Texas. Jane’s company offers and places GameTech handheld units, Diamond Plus Bingo® fixed-based units, TED® units and the popular color TED2C™ units.

According to Jane, “within just 18 months of introducing GameTech electronics to our customers, gross receipts attributable to electronics were already 27% of our total receipts, amounting to more than $440,000 in sales! Now, just four years later, GameTech electronics are worth more than $3 million in sales to our company, which adds up to just over 50% of our gross receipts. With GameTech electronics in our product mix, we have experienced tremendous growth.”

“I was nervous about getting into electronic devices at first, primarily because I didn’t know what to expect,” she added. “But, I’ve been involved in Texas bingo from day one and I didn’t want to get left behind. Thank goodness for GameTech. The company has provided reliable products and top service professionals to make sure our units are up and running with the least possible interruption.”

“Most importantly, the company is one of integrity. The people at all levels are fair, honest and good to work with. They have helped us present new ideas to the legislature so that we can keep the game interesting which, in turn, means more money for both commercial and charitable bingo operations in Texas. That also means more jobs, more help to those in need and more fun for everyone.
Bingo is good for Texas and GameTech is good for bingo!"
